My First Photo…

Winnie The Whale

It all started a long time ago.

I can’t remember the first time I used a camera, that is lost in the winds of ancient history, but I do remember my Junior School trip to Windsor Safari Park in 1983, where I took plenty of photos with an old 110 film camera.

This photo of Winnie the Killer Whale is one from that day, and qualifies as my First Photo on the strength that it is the first that I can remember taking. I also know that it’s one of only two or three photos from that day which are still in my possession. I can only assume that is because the others were so bad that they didn’t make it into an album.

By the way, in 1983 I would have been 12 years old. One of my daughters took her first photos at the age of 2! that is a post for another day…

How old were you when you first used a camera? Please leave a comment.
